Tricia Downes - Registered Provider, Registered Manager and Responsible Individual




Tricia has 25 years experience in the domiciliary care industry, initially starting out as a care assistant in a small, 22 bed family run home and achieving City and Guilds qualification level 2 & 3 direct care.  Tricia left this setting to further her career in domiciliary care, Tricia’s last post was in Domiciliary Care, she was as a Field Care Manager, a main part of her role was working with other health care professionals, social services, moving & handling advisers, conducting multi disciplinary meetings, attending professionals meetings, 'Best Interest' meetings and supporting 300 service users and their families and managing 70 care staff.  Whilst in this role Tricia  completed enhanced training in Palliative Care, Mental Health and Learning Disabilities.


Within Care Resource Bureau, Tricia is responsible for the day to day management and running of the branch, this includes ensuring that it remains compliant and meeting or exceeding standards of care. In her role as Responsible Individual Tricia is responsible for supervising of management, and of regulated activities, ensuring they are provided to the highest standard. She is the main point of contact for CQC, ensuring that all standards expected within the company are being met and is operating with full compliance. Whilst Tricia is involved in tasks which can demand a lot of her time and attention, she still remains heavily involved in providing and monitoring of care and support provided, and working closely with care workers on a one to one basis, ensuring that the highest standards of care are met. Tricia is currently working towards her QCF Level 5 in Health & Social Care






Samuel Downes - Training & Development Manager

Samuel has 8 years experience in the domiciliary care industry, initially starting out in an administrative role for work experience. Following success within work experience Sam was offered an administrative post which was based around a schedule of study and later became a full time role, within this Sam had various roles including Payroll Assistant, monitoring alerts and tracking systems for carers, assisting with the operation of the On-Call service and Coordination. In 2015, Sam decided to move on and support his mother, Tricia, to develop their own family-run organisation operating as a Mother and Son team. Within the first year of operation,  Sam took particular interest in the field of Training due to not being completely satisfied with the style and quality of training being provided to Care staff, he decided that he would take on the role of Training staff himself and undertook the necessary practical and theoretical tests to enable him to do so.


Within Care Resource Bureau Sam is responsible for all training and development of care support staff. Sam still remains heavily involved in the delivery and monitoring of care and staff to ensure that standards are maintained. He is also currently working towards his QCF Level 5 in Health & Social Care.

All of our Care Support Workers are hand picked by us, to ensure that we have chosen the best staff possible, to be able to provide the highest standard of care for our Service Users. We invest in further checks reaching out into past employment to ascertain our staff members attitude to work and general work ethic, as well as thorough screening carried out via the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB).
