Samuel Downes - Training & Development Manager

Samuel has 4 years experience in the domiciliary care industry, initially starting out in an administrative role for work experience. Following success within work experience Sam was offered an administrative post which was based around a schedule of study and later became a full time role, within this Sam had various roles including Payroll Assistant, monitoring alerts and tracking systems for carers, assisting with the operation of the On-Call service and Coordination. In 2015, Sam decided to move on and support his mother, Tricia, to develop their own family-run organisation operating as a Mother and Son team. Within the first year of operation,  Sam took particular interest in the field of Training due to not being completely satisfied with the style and quality of training being provided to Care staff, he decided that he would take on the role of Training staff himself and undertook the necessary practical and theoretical tests to enable him to do so.

Within Care Resource Bureau Sam is responsible for all training and development of care support staff. Sam still remains heavily involved in the delivery and monitoring of care and staff to ensure that standards are maintained. He is also currently working towards his QCF Level 5 in Health & Social Care.
